You try to shake it but it comes back.

It’s nagging comments

its persistence about the future

its nack for stating the obvious

Its not really a voice but a silent

nagger

who reminds you what you don’t have.

Its packed with acid so it corrodes existence

which is its primary function

to eat the goodness in the day

I am the host of such nag.

Because I allow it to thrive in the background though I say I don’t want it (so much for will)

So I have to fight it by ignoring it, deriving pleasure where I say am not to because of X.

Defeeating the illogical commentary

that things aren’t right when they are at their best

being at peace is an internal warfare

which marches to its own drumbeat

Learning to be ok with me and my lot
