Generation C

Todos somos artistas, [everybody will be famous for 15 minutes! //traducción libre// want to read it in english instead?

Read here then.

AI-översikt

Generation C never disappeared. It just stopped being a buzzword.

Unlike Gen Z or Millennials, Generation C (“Connected” or “COVID”) is not defined by a birth year. Instead, it describes a group of people united by how they act.

The Original Gen C: The Connected Consumer

Digital experts (like those at Google and Think With Google) coined the term in the 2010s to describe anyone obsessed with the internet.

  • The 4 “C’s”: They love to Connect, Create, Curate, and Share content.
  • The “C” stands for: Connected.
  • Who is in it? Anyone from a 20-year-old on TikTok to a 50-year-old on Facebook who lives their life online.

The Gen C Reboot: The COVID Generation

During the global pandemic, the phrase got a second life. Researchers and media used “Gen C” to mean “Generation COVID”.

  • Who is in it? Children and young adults molded by the global upheaval of the pandemic.
  • What they do: They rely on remote learning, telehealth, and online socialization as “the new normal”.
  • Their traits: Studies show they face higher stress but are also highly resilient and adaptable.

Where did they go?

Because “connected” behaviors are now the standard for almost everyone, analysts stopped treating Gen C as a unique, rare group. Their digital habits have simply become everyday reality.
