Otras de esas palabras poco estudiadas es ‘rayar‘.

En el norte tenemos un sinónimo a la expresión más común y mexicana de mentársela a alguién. No se dice ‘se la menté‘ sino ‘se la rayé’.

Rayar es sinónimo de mentar y adquiere, así­, todos los demás calificativos que se derivan de mentar, como mentársela/rayársela o rayásela.

Más en Tijuana la palabra rayar contiene otro sentido lingíüí­stico. Este sentido léxico norteño, si se puede decir así­, adquiere el significado de suerte.

Al decir x se rayó, decimos que alguien tuvo suerte en algo.

Por igual, al escuchar o decir que alguien anda bien rayado equivale a decir a que alguien anda cuajado, es decir que alguien anda con mucho dinero.

Me imagino que este termino no es exclusivo del norte pues la raya es sinónimo de sueldo en nuestra narrativa general.

Mas hemos de confesar, que en Tijuana, si alguien anda rayado, lo más seguro es que se hable en argot que en términos revolucionarios. No pun intended, claro.
