Yonder Lies It

Tomorrow begins November

Exciting indeed. October came and went as usual. People all hyped up about Halloween, Día de Muertos and All Saints Day and All Souls Day as Anglo-Saxon culture would deem it. We’ve yet to see the hype of the other common global celebrations such as 11-11 (光棍节) which is all singles day in China and has moved quite swiftly through western cultures. Let’s us not talk about NNN for all the oestrous males which the opposite sex have taken upon themselves to not help out in the effort. Poor boys indeed. Thanksgiving for us North Americans and Black Friday off course are on the waiting list. Hard to believe but November was meant to be a month of reflection and such. A somber month since winter lies ahead. Not anymore.

I went to cut my hair today. It seems a crime the amount of money I pay to cut the few strains of hair left in my scalp. I have been waiting patiently for the day I don a Mr. Clean look. Bald for you newbies in American culture. Quite chilly out there, that kind that makes you wanna run inside to the warmth. I also went to get a few vittles but not much. I think I will finally go out and dispense of my recyclables. No big plans for the day, maybe read a bit as if I don’t do that as often as I do. Back to work on Monday.

Some sort of glad news coming from the Spanish language front. A report of intrafighting in the bulwark halls of that hideous language. I’ve never professed love for DRAE or RAE as it is known, that is the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language and it turns out I wasn’t as off as I thought I was. It is rotten to the core and always trying to tell other Spanish speakers who the kingpin is. An unlikely hero of sorts has turned up to side with us who have built a penchant for disliking and holding grudges for the RAE: El Instituto Cervantes. The extreme right as always corrupting and destroying everything it touches is at fault. They use that office to propagate their filthy world views and ideas about superiority. Hopefully somebody will listen to this squabble and heed Luis García Montero.
